Russia: 9 workers killed in 6 months at plants in Sverdlovsk region as result of safety violations

In 6 months, 9 people died at Sverdlovsk enterprises, 26 August 2019

The number of fatal accidents at enterprises in the Sverdlovsk region has increased. During the first half of the year, 9 people died, according to Ural department of Rostechnadzor.

The death of employees took place at Uralvagonzavod JSC, Vysokogorsk Mining and Processing Plant OJSC, Uraldomnoremont-Ekaterinburg LLC, Ural Asbestos Mining and Processing Plant OJSC, Sevuralboxitrude JSC, Sredneuralsk Copper Smelting Plant OJSC, Klyuchevsky PJSC Ferroalloy Plant, JSC United Company RUSAL Ural Aluminum, LLC Sukholozhsk Crane Plant. In all cases, Rostekhnadzor revealed unsatisfactory organization of work, except for the death of an employee of the Klyuchevsky Ferroalloy Plant.
