At least 200 farmers, mobilised by the Zero Invasion Movement and in the guise of an illegal repossession, attacked with firearms the Pataxó Hã-Hã-Hãe people's retaking of their traditional territory of Caramuru-Catarina Paraguassu, in the municipality of Potiraguá, in south-west Bahia. The attack took place without any judicial decision to repossess the Inhuma farm, which had been retaken by the Pataxó Hã-Hã-Hãe. Military police from the state of Bahia were present with the landowners. As a result of this criminal action, Maria Fátima Muniz Pataxó Hã-Hã-Hãe, known as Nega, was shot dead in the retaking. Chief Nailton was injured. The indigenous people accuse the landowners and the Bahia Military Police for the murder, which was the result of an illegal repossession operation openly called by a militia entitled "zero invasion".
