Maple Gas Corporation del Peru -SRL- Response to press article raising concerns that its operations are affecting indigenous peoples in Peru

The US-based NGO Accountability Counsel has distorted information for reasons unknown to Maple. We had a 1.3 gallons, repeat 1.3 gallons, oil spill in Block 31B in April 2012. The indigenous community Canaan de Cashiyacu was duly notified on the morning of the spill and participated with Maple in finding and cleaning the 1.3 gallons as recognized in a document signed by both parties. Your institution must be aware that these are false allegations made by the NGO.
