Myanmar: Garment workers report labour rights abuses incl. mandatory overtime & excessive production targets; incl. co. response

In January 2024, it was reported that workers at Myanmar Luxury Group garment factory are facing a series of violations, including mandatory overtime and no transport provided to return home, putting workers at risk, the hiring of day labourers on low wages without appointing them as permanent employees, the illegal dismissal of workers, excessive production targets so workers are unable to find time to drink water, and verbal abuse.
