Audi response

...The number one priority for Audi México is the health and safety of the more than 5,200 employees who contribute to the successful operation of the plant in San Jose Chiapa. Audi México demonstrated this by being one of the first companies in the industry to announce the suspension of activities in view of the upcoming health crisis, one week before it was officially mandated.

During the more than 80 days without production, Audi México designed a complete and comprehensive plan for the return to operation. This plan has been approved and implemented together with local health authorities and AUDI AG. Audi México employees received a security kit and were trained in how to comply with these protective measures before gradually returning to their work in production areas starting on June 22, 2020...

Even though Audi México had completely complied with all applicable regulations and fulfilled all prescribed requirements in order to be able to resume operations by June 1st, we delayed the begin of operations in order to consider local concerns about the restart of operations...
