Belarusian wood allegedly exported to EU through Central Asia under forged docs despite sanctions, investigation reveals; incl. cos. responses & non-responses

New investigation by Belarusian Investigative Center found that since EU's ban on Belarusian wood import in March 2022, the indirect re-export through Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan using forged documents has drastically increased.

Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited companies mentioned in the report to respond to the allegations. Vivalsa provided a response that can be found below. Belarusian Forest Company and Agro KG did not respond.
