Cambodian authorities rescue a total of 78 Cambodians tricked into working in Saudi Arabia after one worker posts an appeal for help on social media stating they were being overworked, not paid and threatened by their employers.

Among the 78 Cambodians, 51 are reportedly to be in Jeddah, 15 are in the capital of Riyadh, and 12 are in Dammam. They were recently sent by a brokerage company to work in Saudi Arabia.

The Cambodian Embassy to Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Labour have started to take action after a post was made on Ry Single's Facebook account on April​​​ 18. It said that the group of Cambodian workers who left to work in Saudi Arabia was through Fatina Manpower Co., Ltd. The Ministry of Labour indicated that returning flights are scheduled for April 19 to return 29 citizens, April 20 to return 27 citizens, and April 21 for 22 citizens. By 1 July, some 60 women still remained in Saudi Arabia and a total of 133 workers had been reported removed from abusive employment situations. These remaining workers reportedly suspect the delay in their return is due to Fatina Manpower's inability to pay compensation to Saudi Arabian partner companies.
