Clean Clothes Campaign rejoinder on A-One factory

Clean Clothes Campaign’s credible sources on the ground in Dhaka assert that the A-One factory was producing for Arcadia Group until 2020, contrary to what the brand has claimed on the BHRRC site. Similarly, we have indications that Next and Benetton were involved with this factory in the months directly before the protests started. Furthermore, we believe that if brands suddenly pulled out considerable orders in 2019, then they also carry responsibility for the workers' situation the year after if they did so without a responsible exit plan. One brand that we identified being active in the factory in 2019 is New Look.
