Indonesia: Nearly 11,000 textile workers laid off across several factories; incl. co. responses

In June 2024, it was reported that there had been a series of layoffs across factories facing a reduction in orders or no orders at all.

In July 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited reported buyers from Sae Apparel (H&M, s.Oliver, American Eagle Outfitters, Kmart Australia, Target Australia and C&A) to respond. The responses can be found below.
