Myanmar: 17 workers at Sung Bo garment factory reported wage discrimination

... At the Korean-owned Sung BO factory, workers say there is discrimination in the workplace.

The factory was opened at Hlaing Tharay Township Industrial Zone 5, Shwe Rin Aye School Road, and is operating with a workforce of over a thousand.

Owned by Korean nationals, there is a WCC group in the workplace without a trade union.

"We asked for an increase in daily wages from 4,800 to 5,600. We negotiated with the factory and accepted it at 5,200... However, 17 of us who requested still received 4,800."...

The factory has reportedly supplied CMP sport...
