Nexa Technologies' response

16 May 2024

I would like just to state some wrong information you intend to publish

- Nexa didn’t sell a spyware to Egypt but a passive telecom solution to extract the metadata of the IP traffic (i.e. which IP address is connected to which server address)

It is a pure telecom solution and doesn’t provide neither content nor precise geolocation.

(Spyware refers to solutions like NSO or Finfisher or Quadream etc…)

- the sale of this equipment went officially through the French export control and was not denied

- The solution has been removed by the customer around 2019 and replaced by other solutions

This is for all those reasons that the appeal court dropped the charge

Nexa has never provided any massive wiretapping and geolocation solutions, for this kind of products, please contact Suneris/Thales

Nexa has nothing to do with the sale done in Libya , please contact ATOS who owns the company who did it (Amesys (new name Advantix))

Nexa has been discontinued and stopped its activities in 2022

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to make some comments.
