Olam can confirm that on Monday 8th September 2014, an incident at the Sugar manufacturing warehouse in Rajgoli, Dist. Kolhapur, Maharashtra, tragically claimed the life of an Olam India worker and injured one contract worker...Ensuring a safe working environment is a priority and the management team is therefore devastated that this accident occurred. At the time, Olam immediately notified the relevant authorities and we responded fully to their requirements. We have carried out a full review of our safety management system and strengthened safety procedures even further.
