Shaanxi Aircraft Corporation did not respond

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Shaanxi Aircraft Corporation to respond to the allegations in the Justice for Myanmar (JFM) report stating that the company developed the JF-17 Thunder that “is intended for cargo and troop transport and can carry up to 60 troops or cargo payloads up to 20 tons”. The report further alleged that Shaanxi is a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) that is allegedly “supplying the Myanmar military with various military aircraft and associated arms … in a context in which the Myanmar military is repeatedly committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, and stands accused of committing genocide”.
