Medidas adoptadas: The Nepali National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) contacted the Kuwait government to request the details of the workers' deaths be made public. Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Rana al Fares ordered an investigation into the cause of the deaths, stating that those "guilty of negligence" must be held accountable. The Nepali embassy in Kuwait reported that the workers were employed by Kuwait headquartered Universal Leaders Trading and Contracting. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre attempted to contact Universal Leaders to invite them to respond to the allegations of negligence causing the deaths but were unable to find working contact information.
