Survival’s Director attacks Commonwealth for undermining tribal rights
In many ways, campaigns for tribal peoples’ rights have not changed that much in the last 100 years, or more…means of communicating them have now evolved of course, particularly since the ubiquity of the web. On one hand, this enables material such as reports and films to be accessed at less cost, and so it greatly extends the reach of campaigns. On the other hand, making all campaigns harder are the many thousands of disparate ‘causes’—some extremely deserving—all in competition in their clamour for widespread support.
