On 14 July 2022, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited The Mitre Corporation to respond to the allegations contained in the Immigrant Defense Project, Just Futures Law & Mijente report “Hart Attack: How DHS’s massive biometrics database will supercharge surveillance and threaten rights” that by providing technology services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security´s (DHS) Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology System (HART) The Mitre Corporation is contributing to invasion of privacy and human rights violations against immigrant communities and communities of colour. The company did not respond.
