UK Court decision in gold miner’s silicosis cases

London’s High Court today ruled that it had no jurisdiction over claims that had been filed against Anglo American South Africa Ltd (“AASA”). The ruling affects the interests of thousands of South African former gold miners. The judge, Mr Justice Smith, gave permission to appeal the decision to the UK Court of Appeal.
