Victims of Ali Enterprises factory fire in Pakistan to sue KiK in Germany if long-term compensation negotiations fail; includes company response
On 12 September 2012, a fire at Ali Enterprises, Pakistan, killed 254 people and injured more than 50. To mark the second anniversary of this catastrophe, the Clean Clothes Campaign, European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) & medico international issued a press release accusing KiK of dragging out negotiations related to long-term compensation of the victims. They declared that if negotiations on this issue failed, victims would bring a lawsuit in Germany against KiK. Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited KiK to respond to the press release.
