Firestone Finally Bows, Takes Step Against Child Labor [Liberia]

The issue of child labor and modern day slavery are two key issues allegedly practiced by the Management of the Firestone Plantations Company (FPCO) [part of Bridgestone] for which several humanitarian organizations, including the International Labor Rights Fund (ILRF), recently filed a lawsuit against the company. But despite many denials of these practices, the FPCO has placed a ban on child labor practices in its operational areas.
