[W]orkers left stranded without pay have been returned to their home country by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. 150 staff members comprising mainly Indians and Bangladeshis went without pay for eight months...some had only limited access to food and sanitation after their company, Emguard Electro Mechanical and General Contracting, went bankrupt and failed to pay their wages.
[We attempted to contact Emguard to invite them to respond to the allegations, but were unable to find current contact information.]
