Products of over 250 Western companies repeatedly found in Russian weapons on Ukraine’s battlefield expose issues in export controls enforcement, according to new report; incl. cos. responses & non-responses
A new report by KSE Institute and the Yermak-McFaul International Working Group on Russian Sanctions analyses how Russia continues to import products critical for weapons production despite export controls. It looks at almost 2,800 foreign components used in Russian military equipment found on the Ukraine's battlefield and names more than 250 manufacturing companies. The authors urge policy makers to take action to enhance export controls enforcement in order to prevent Russia from exploring loopholes in the sanctions regime.
