The third UN Conference on Financing for Development which will take place in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia follows the conferences in Monterrey in 2002 and in Doha in 2008. It will evaluate the progress made since then, but it will also examine new and emerging issues, including in the context of the recent multilateral efforts to promote international development cooperation.
