Myanmar: Garment workers allege multiple labour rights violations at factory incl. forced overtime if targets are not met & workers forced to lie about conditions during inspections; incl. co. response
In September 2022, it was reported that workers at Myanmar Lucky Garment factory were facing a series of violations at the factory, including workers forced to work overtime without pay if they failed to meet increased targets, and workers refused a gate pass to leave the factory during work hours. Workers also reported they were unable to report their complaints to anyone, and that they had been instructed to tell inspectors that working conditions at the factory were good.
