Myanmar: Garment workers at Popular Garment report inadequate health & safety issues & mandatory overtime overnight; Incl. co. response

In March 2023, it was reported that workers at Popular Garment factory were facing a series of violations, including dismissals without reason, workers threatened to meet excessive production targets, denial of leave and wage cuts if workers take a day off, inadequate health and safety in the factory, lack of drinking water, toilets and dining facilities available, workers forced to work all night, and workers told to lie during inspections.
