Myanmar: Garment workers report multiple labour rights abuses at Top Class factory; incl. co. response

In November 2023, it was reported that workers at Top Class garment factory faced a series of violations, including mandatory overtime without consent or notice, excessive production targets, verbal abuse if workers can't meet the targets, the recruitment of day labourers who are denied leave, have no protection from workplace accidents and receive low wages, workers receiving a higher pay grade if they are close to the supervisors, denial of leave and wage cuts if workers take leave, and workers requiring permission to go to the toilet causing health issues.

In January 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited FieldCore to respond.
