Myanmar: Union leader unable to return to work because of security concerns dismissed; incl. co. response

In July 2021, it was reported that union leaders at Mirae (New Way Garment) who were unable to return to work due to security concerns faced dismissal, despite the workers agreeing to take unpaid leave, as permitted in labour agreements with the factory. On 19 June, the factory management informed the union that it was no longer recognised.

In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Ziben to respond. It did not.
