North Korean missile used by Russia in attack on Ukraine contains recently made Western components, new investigation reveals; incl. cos. responses and non-responses

A report by NAKO analysed the North Korean KN-23/24 missile shot down by the Ukrainian defence forces in the Poltava region in September 2024. The analysis showed that the missile contained microelectronics manufactured by companies from the US, the UK, Switzerland and the Netherlands. The report also found that the analysed parts were produced between 2021 and 2023.

Business and Human Rights Resource Centre invited 9 companies mentioned in the report to respond. Diodes, Analog Devices, NXP, Traco Power and STMicroelectronics responded. Bourns, Broadcom, Avago and XP Power did not. All responses and non-responses can be found below.
