PT Fajar Bhakti Lintas Nusantara/Zhenshi Holding Group did not respond

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited PT Fajar Bhakti Lintas Nusantara through Zhenshi Holding Group to respond to the JATAM report citing the company as one with the largest nickel smelters in Indonesia. The report alleges that nickel mining resulted to “disappearing food reserves and water sources, deforestation, the diminishing biodiversity, the widespread pollution smearing water, air, and sea, as well as continuing social conflicts”. The Resource Centre notes that PT Fajar Bhakti Lintas Nusantara was acquired by Zhenshi Holding Group in 2010. The company did not respond.
