This would represent an important step towards fulfilling your corporate responsibilities under the globally endorsed United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UN Guiding Principles). Attached as an annex is the detailed request that a coalition of nongovernmental organizations, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Building and Woodworkers International sent in a letter to FIFA President Gianni Infantino on May 17, 2022.

In this case, you have a clear responsibility to use your powerful individual and collective influence to call on FIFA to establish a comprehensive programme to provide effective remedy for the hundreds of thousands of people who have suffered labour abuses to make the World Cup possible in Qatar.
