EFRAG seeking applications for Community Sector Groups to support development of sector-specific draft reporting standards

"Join EFRAG’S Community Sector Groups supporting the development of sector specific draft ESRS", 23 Sep 2022

EFRAG is looking for a diverse group including preparers, preparer organisations, civil society organisations, social partners, investment organisations or other stakeholders that have a direct interest in the respective sector(s) to join these Community Sector Groups as part of their preparation for sector specific workshops and outreach events which will take place during October 2022 and November 2022.

These workshops are organised in addition to the ones that took place in June and July 2022 across 40 sectors. We are now holding a second series of workshops reflecting the first set of sector specific standards being developed with workshops planned for 2023/2024 on remaining sectors. These workshops will build on information and feedback already received and seek input on updated draft working documents being prepared by EFRAG.

Community Sector Groups EFRAG is establishing now are related to the following sectors:

  • Agriculture, Farming and Fishing
  • Coal Mining & Mining
  • Energy and Utilities
  • Food and Beverages
  • Motor Vehicles
  • Oil and Gas Mid to Downstream & Oil and Gas Upstream
  • Road Transport
  • Textiles, Accessories, Jewelry and Footwear

Community members will support the identification of relevant and important sustainability matters for each sector, provide input to the development of draft standards, participate actively in workshops and have further contact where useful with EFRAG Sector specific draft ESRS writing team. The involvement in the Community Sector Groups is expected to end by December 2022.

If you are interested in joining these communities please submit your application here by 7 October 2022.

We kindly ask stakeholders to indicate which Community Sector Group they would like to join. The exact dates and timing of the workshops will be communicated separately.
