India: Diamond workers union alleges leading firm has fired workers without notice or pay during lockdown, companies did not respond

A recent report states that about 100 diamond workers were sacked by a leading international firm in Surat, Gujarat, without notice and without paying over three months of wages to workers, since the lockdown began.

Business and Human Rights Resource Centre invited K. Girdharlal International and De Beers to respond to the allegations. They did not.
