- As a participant in the LNG Canada project, KOGAS respects and supports human rights and honors agreements made with indigenous groups.
- CGL, the owner and operator of the pipeline, completed construction of the pipeline in November '23 and has obtained all necessary permits to legally conduct its work in Canada.
- CGL also signed compensation agreements with 20 indigenous groups affected by the pipeline route prior to the start of construction and is providing direct benefits to local communities through employment, workforce development, skills training and financial assistance.
- LNG Canada's project participants have a strong respect for community safety and human rights and will work to ensure that our work with communities can be benchmarked not only in Canada, but globally.
