Kroger response to Uyghur forced labour & migrant worker abuse in seafood supply chains

Response from Kroger to the Ocean Outlaw Project investigation into Uyghur forced labour and migrant abuse in seafood supply chains:

Kroger takes allegations regarding human rights issues seriously. We have been following our typical process to review the information shared in these reports. This includes engaging suppliers directly and talking with subject matter experts internally and externally to understand the situation and other perspectives. Given the scope of the information reported, this investigation phase will take some time as we continue reviewing our sourcing information to inform any action steps. We expect our suppliers to comply with the Kroger Vendor Code of Conduct and have management systems in place to respect human rights, as outlined in our policies.
