Myanmar: Factory allegedly supplying Lenovo accused of multiple labour rights abuses; incl. co. response

In April 2024, it was reported that workers at Yichang Handbag (Myanmar) are facing a series of violations, including denial of leave incl. medical leave and wage cuts if workers take leave, unclean drinking water, unclean restrooms, no access to medicine at the clinic, mandatory overtime, excessive production targets, verbal abuse when demanding targets be met, and day labourers who are denied permanent contracts and face dismissals if there isn't much work.

In September 2024, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Lenovo to respond. The response can be found below.
