Power China's response

[Unofficial Translation by the Resource Centre]

Powe China is the contractor for the Sabi Star Lithium Mine project in Zimbabwe, which has officially commenced production.

On July 18th, the Sabi Star Lithium Mine project sent a letter of appreciation to Power China, highly affirming the support and dedication provided by our company for the production of the Sabi Star Lithium Mine.

The letter of appreciation pointed out that during the construction of the Sabi Star Lithium Mine project in Zimbabwe, Power China kept its promises and considered the overall situation. We worked closely with the owner and overcame numerous challenges such as tight construction periods and heavy workloads. We efficiently completed important milestones in the construction of various sections of the Sabi Star Lithium Mine project, including stripping, civil construction, installation, electrical works, and tailings dam, setting new records in Zimbabwe for the shortest construction time, highest efficiency, and best quality for a million-ton-level lithium ore processing plant.

During the project construction process, our project team always prioritized the overall situation and proactively considered the owner's interests. Despite continuous optimizations and changes during construction, we were able to quickly adapt and fully utilize existing resources to organize construction production. Our leaders took the lead in staying on the front line and taking a hands-on approach, while all employees worked together and selflessly, always maintaining a high-spirited state and paying attention to every detail, demonstrating excellent qualities of being able to fight tough battles and having a good work style. Ultimately, we achieved outstanding results of "successful one-time commissioning and production of the entire line" and "lithium recovery rate reaching world-leading levels." The stripping mining capacity can meet the demand for ore mass production, greatly improving the owner's economic benefits.

According to our understanding, the Sabi Star Lithium Mine is located in Manicaland Province, with a total mining area of 2,637 hectares. Among the five mining rights, the Li2O resource of the main ore type is 88,500 tons, with an average grade of 1.98%. The designed raw ore production scale is 900,000 tons/year. The project includes 7.4 million cubic meters of lithium ore stripping, construction of all mining facilities, and tailings dam filling. The daily processing capacity is about 3,000 tons of ore, producing 800 to 1,000 tons of lithium concentrate per day. The total service life of the mine is 7 years. In the first phase of project implementation, it is expected to create employment opportunities for nearly a thousand local people and cultivate a group of high-quality technical workers for Zimbabwe, further promoting Zimbabwe's comprehensive modernization and economic industrialization.
