Pressure On Mbeki to Lift Burden On Business [South Africa]

President Thabo Mbeki is due to give government's official position today on the issue of reparations for victims of apartheid, amid growing corporate and investor unease about the mounting hidden costs of investing in SA...The reparations issue is coming to a head as mining giant Anglo American and several other mining companies expressed concern that there seemed to be no end to the rising costs of doing business in SA, and that, in time, the viability of certain projects could be threatened.
