On the sixth section of the construction site M-12 (a section of the road in the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region and Chuvashia) there are not enough workers. As the workers said in an interview with an Idel.Realii correspondent, "Many employees have resigned since the end of last year."

- Workers quit, as they are paid less than promised, also there are delays in paying wages, - said the workers of the M-12.

The state company "Avtodor" indirectly confirms the problems with the construction of the sixth section of the road... According to the general contractor this section of the road is planned to be commissioned in the 4th quarter of 2023. In order to meet the deadline, it was decided to build the M-12 round the clock...

Earlier, Idel.Realii reported about a riot of workers involved in the construction of the M-12 highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. They received their wages from a Chinese contractor after media publicity. About 1,500 workers of CRCC Rus LLC (the Russian subsidiary of the Chinese CRCC), who are building a section of the M-12 highway in the Buturlinsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, went on strike due to delayed wages. This was reported by the regional State Labor Inspectorate. The workers complained that no money had been transferred to them since January 10.

And this is not the first strike of workers in Nizhny Novgorod. In summer of 2022, bridge workers on the M-12 in the Vadsky district also complained about the delay in salaries. In April 2022, the M-12 builders blocked the road in the Arzamas region for the same reason.
