Uber response to allegations of worker occupational health & safety risks in India

Priyanka went through a horrible experience, and our thoughts remain with her. As soon as we learnt about the incident, we got in contact with her to offer assistance. We provided financial support to her for loss of earnings following the incident. And we helped her claim her medical expenses under Uber’s on-trip insurance policy, which covers all drivers on the app.

Uber is committed to ensuring the safety of drivers on the app in India. They have many of the same transparency and accountability features that riders do, such as feedback and ratings for every trip, GPS tracking, an emergency button, and shared trip feature.
