In October 2022, Chaarat Gold Holdings Ltd. confirmed that it is negotiating to buy Lydian Armenia CJSC, the company that has the mining rights for the controversial Amulsar gold mine in Armenia. Business and Human Rights Resource Centre approached Chaarat Gold to ask whether the company assessed real and/or potential adverse human rights impacts connected to the project and what steps the company had taken to address human rights risks and impacts linked to this project.
