Since the beginning of July, part of the Russian employees at IKEA, which stopped its work in the Russian market due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, have been offered to voluntarily terminate their employment contract. Employees who agree to leave their jobs are promised payment of 7-8 salaries and retain some benefits until the end of the year. But no one has an answer to the main question, what will happen afterwards with the factories, shops and jobs...
IKEA started cutting the staff of its factories after three months of halt after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In spring, IKEA paused the work of 17 stores and four factories in Moscow, Kirov, Leningrad and Novgorod regions.
