Philippines: 3000 workers of bag manufacturer demand payment of pandemic shutdown leave & workplace health & safety

Around 3000 workers of bag manufacturer, D'luxe Bags Philippines, Inc., are demanding payment of pandemic leave caused by the temporary shutdown brought on by COVID-19. Further, the workers are also demanding the company ensure the health and safety of workers in the workplace. Tory Burch, Michael Kors and Kate Spade (Tapestry) are named publicly as buyers from D'luxe Bags.

In December 2020, Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited D'luxe Bags, Tory Burch, Michael Kors and Kate Spade (Tapestry) to respond to the allegations. The manufacturer and brands did not respond.
