Myanmar: Garment workers at Myanmar Zande factory reportedly forced to work overtime without notice & face abuse for failing to meet targets; incl. co. responses

In November 2023, it was reported that workers were facing a series of violations, including overtime all night without notice which affects workers' health, discrimination if workers refuse overtime shifts, high targets and verbal abuse and intimidation to resign if workers don't meet targets, the dismissal of pregnant workers without any legally owed benefits, no labour union, workers' wages and benefits cut and workers facing demotion if they take leave, and workers struggling to complain about working conditions due to intimidation by manager.

In January 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre invited Inditex (for its ZARA brand) and LERROS to respond. Full responses below.
