10th session of the UN Intergovernmental Working Group elaborating a legally binding instrument on business & human rights
The 10th session of the UN open-ended intergovernmental working group on transnational corporations and other business enterprises with respect to human rights (IGWG) to discuss the binding treaty is taking place on 16-20 December 2024 at the UN in Geneva (instead of 21-25 October as previously scheduled).
On 28 March 2024, the Chair-Rapporteur shared a proposed draft roadmap towards the 10th session, as well as an invitation to a consultation on 12 April to receive comments and suggestions on the draft. Following that discussion, there is now an updated roadmap towards the 10th session of the IGWG.
The list of selected legal experts for the IGWG was also released in July 2024.
