To identify supply chain risks and target interventions as effectively as possible, we must understand where the soybeans we buy come from and how they were produced. That is why the mapping of soybean suppliers was one of the main points of attention in the last two years. We started mapping our direct supply chain with polygonal farm boundaries. We have achieved progress in the highest priority areas: direct producers in the states of Maranhão, Tocantins, Piauí and Bahia (Matopiba), as well as in the Cerrado biome in general. We concluded mapping with polygons of Matopiba in June, and the goal is to finish the entire Cerrado. We will continue to expand polygon mapping to the entire soybean supply chain in South America.
