Impala Platinum response re criticism of complicity with Zimbabwe Govt.

In response to [Roy Bennett's]...points we are partners with the Royal Bafokeng nation in South Africa and are therefore well aware of the benefits of working with local communities. It is very much part of our vision and plan for the future. In 2006 we did agree to return some of our mining rights to the state. But this was a commercial transaction and not to placate anybody. Therefore this does not translate into allegations of complicity of human rights violations in the country...
