Kuwait: Bangladeshi security guards protest after employer fails to provide residency permits, pay and housing

"Bangladeshi workers protest in Kuwait", 28 Sep 2016.

Around 100 Bangladeshi workers hired by a Kuwaiti company to guard supermarkets and various stores in the country staged a sit-in protest yesterday at the Bangladesh Embassy. The company the workers were working for has failed to provide them with residency permits 11 months after employing them. Furthermore...the foreign workers haven’t been paid for the past two months and have been left without housing. If they are caught without a residency permit, the workers could face jail or deportation, even if the fault lies with the company they work for not obtaining one for them.
