Law Council of Australia publishes new guidance on business & human rights for business lawyers
In Januray 2016, the Law Council of Australia published a new guidance that tracks international and national efforts to implement the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The guidance aims to fulfill this purpose in the context of the Australian legal profession and discusses various strategies that can be used to address key challenges faced by legal practitioners. The Law Council has also published an accompanying article which lists pertinent questions and responses on Business and Human Rights in an effort to increase awareness within the legal profession and business community as a whole.
