...As stated in our Human Rights Policy, Marriott International acknowledges and respects the principles contained in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We are committed to conducting our business in a manner consistent with these principles and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and to respecting human rights.

Marriott implements an ongoing due diligence and risk management process to prevent, identify, and mitigate human rights risks. In some instances, the risk factors determine that more comprehensive due diligence review is necessary. In these instances, Marriott engages additional investigative resources, such as third-party investigative firms and comprehensive in-market research, and reviews findings. As stated in our Supplier Guidelines, Marriott also expects vendors and suppliers to uphold the highest standards of human rights and hold their own suppliers and subcontractors to the same standards and practices.

Marriott has one property in Uzbekistan, the Courtyard by Marriott Tashkent, which is managed by a third-party owner. The Sheraton Tashkent Hotel & Towers has not operated under a Marriott brand since 2007. Across the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio in more than 138 countries and territories around the world, all our properties seek to offer a warm welcome for all our guests, associates, and partners.
