The Nepali migrant workers, who are in a very vulnerable situation in the Countries of Destination, have been stranded due to lack of access to health services, access to information, increased risk at workplace, loss of employment and income, with the pregnant and lactating women, domestic workers and those with underlying health conditions at higher risk...

In the present situation of COVID-19 pandemic, the national human rights institutions have been carrying out various efforts as per their mandate and capacity for the protection of human rights. In the context of the protection and promotion of human rights of the migrant workers, who fall into the vulnerable group, the human rights institutions have been carrying out monitoring of the situation of migrant workers...

...The NHRC has developed this report with a focus on the situation of the human rights of Nepali migrant workers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown, pointing out the problems and making recommendations for their solution.
