Occupied Palestinian territory: The gathering of the Palestinian Journalists accuse whatsapp of blocking journalists' accounts

The Gathering of the Palestinian Journalists condemned and reported that popular messaging application WhatsApp banned on Friday, November 15, accounts of hundreds of Palestinian journalists reporting on Israeli violations in Gaza.

The decision to block Palestinians’ access to their WhatsApp account comes a few days after Israeli troops launched violent attacks on civilians in Gaza, killing at least 37 people.

The Business and Human Rights resource centre approached whatsapp and the mother company Facebook for a response. Their response/ non- response is highlighted below.
